The leather is stuffed with oils and waxes, which results in this leather developing a stunning patina over time. It is the key characteristic of is leather that made it known beyond its borders (France). As it ages, it becomes darker and obtains a very natural look. This looks better with age, pure and simple.
In case the leather gets scratched, the leather is chuck full of oils and waxes, so that a couple of rubs and pushes with your fingers can usually just get rid of the marks entirely.
